Jake Riswold

Jake Riswold, Secretary (Alum)
Jake Riswold is a Portland native and graduated from the Northwest Academy in 2012 and from Eugene Lang in 2016 with degrees in Contemporary Music and Visual Studies. Jake has spent over 10 years living in New York and working in film production before relocating back home to Portland. He has worked in a variety roles on various documentary productions including Errol Morris’ Wormwood (Netflix, 2017) and It’s Not Crazy, It’s Sports (ESPN, 2015), Kief Davidson’s Meltdown: Three Mile Island (Netflix, 2022), and, most recently, Rebecca Miller’s Mr. Scorsese (Apple TV, 2025).

Jake has experience in project research and management, bidding, creative treatment research and design, social media management, event planning, and wrangling crews sizing from 3 to 30 People.

His work has also included production roles for PSAs for The Global Girls Alliance for The Obama Foundation, International Day of the Girl for The Global Goals, and Unicef’s World Children’s Day.

Jake is a musician, artist, avid reader, and cinephile with a specific interest in obscure media, queer art, and underground subcultures. He recently served on the Head of School Advisory Committee for Northwest Academy and is passionate about its mission to develop artistic and intellectual voices.
