Ben Saeks

Ben Saeks is a Northwest Academy alumnus, class of 2013. Having attended NWA from 6th grade through 12th grade, Ben was very involved in the school- pushing for increased student engagement through the first Spirit Week, advocating for expansions to the curriculum in Film and HS Tap, and leading student extracurriculars as the de facto Athletic Director coaching weekly basketball practices and scheduling the biannual student-staff basketball games. 

After graduating, Ben moved to Maryland and went on to earn a BA in Physics and an MS in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Robotics. He now works for the Johns Hopkins Technology Innovation Center providing data analytics and business intelligence consulting services for the enterprise. He moved back to Portland with his partner in 2021 and has continued his work remotely. In his free time Ben enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee in Delta Park and playing board games with friends.
