Learning is not confined to the classroom at Northwest Academy. Middle school classes make great use of the many arts, cultural, and educational opportunities within walking distance or public transportation of the school. Classes attend exhibits at the Portland Art Museum and Oregon Historical Society as well as performances at the Portland Center for the Performing Arts and other area theaters. Special events, such as the Physical Science Fair (7th grade) and cultural fairs in Ancient Civilizations (6th grade), make for creative, fun learning opportunities the entire school community can enjoy.
