Caitlin Gibb

School Counselor

CAITLIN GIBB earned her B.S. in psychology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and her Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University. She has over ten years of experience providing counseling to youth and families in the U.S. as well as abroad. She has led an anti-gun violence youth leadership program in Brooklyn, taught mindfulness-based practices in detention facilities and alternative sentencing programs, and worked as a clinician for Psicologos Sin Fronteras (Psychologists Without Borders). She is a proud co-founder of S.O.U.L. Sisters Leadership Collective, a New York City and Miami-based nonprofit that provides arts-based healing opportunities and social justice education for systems-involved women. Her counseling style is relational, collaborative, and trauma-informed. Caitlin particularly enjoys working with youth, whose energy and curiosity keep her on her toes, humble, and always learning. Caitlin has been with Northwest Academy since 2016.
