Century Plaza Building

The Century Plaza Building, simply called as “plaza”, is where most of our high school classes. It is also home to a multipurpose room where students practice Tai Chi, improv, and yoga.

Century Tower Building

The tower building is home to our large and airy art studio and science lab.

Main Street Building

The Main Street Building, called “main” or “main commons” is the hub of the school! Students and guests are greeted by our amazing Main Street Office Manager, Tamara! You will find the BlueBox Theatre, Digital Arts classroom, Photography Studio and darkroom, and the music room and recording studio. High school students often convene in the main commons in the morning as well as eat lunch in the space. You will also found our College Counselor, Registrar, and Head of High School in the Main building.

Dance Building

The dance building is located on SW 11th and Yamhill and is home to our main dance studio on the first floor and the tap studio on the second floor.

Buchan Building

Buchan is a renovated part of the First Unitarian Church and is where most of the middle school classes are held. Students gather in Fuller Hall for lunch, events, and other gatherings. The Head of Middle School and most other middle school teachers have their offices in this building.

  • College-Prep Academics

    Northwest Academy students write two substantial, college-level thesis projects in their senior year. All juniors and seniors receive college credit through the PSU Challenge Program.

    The hottest ticket in town: Our annual auction features performances and art by Northwest Academy students. The event draws a broad audience of current families and community arts patrons.
