Northwest Academy’s academic day runs from 8:30am to 3:50pm, Monday through Friday. Arts After Hours elective classes generally run from 4:00 to 5:45pm.

CALENDAR

Northwest Academy’s calendar is designed to encourage educational excellence. Rather than disrupt class with many days off, the calendar features full five-day weeks so that students and teachers can get into the rhythm of learning. A highlight of the calendar is Northwest Academy’s two week Spring Break, which gives our students a chance to recharge their batteries and our families a terrific block of time for travel.

INCLEMENT WEATHER PROCEDURE

Teachers and students are to check the website on days when the weather is questionable.  Website alerts will be posted by 6:30 a.m.  No web alert means there are no scheduled changes. Northwest Academy is not always listed on TV school closures, and does not necessarily follow the same guidelines as Portland Public Schools. Please check our website to confirm closures or late starts.
