In light of forecasts that predict continued snowfall followed by freezing temperatures in the morning, Northwest Academy will closed Wednesday the 21st. While we hate to miss a day of classes, these decisions are made with the safety of our students and community as the top priority.
Some classes will require students to continue work from home; students should check their Northwest Academy emails for notices from teachers, who will send assignments by 10 a.m.
As wintry conditions persist, we will continue to monitor and will be in touch with regard to Thursday. If we miss more than three days, we’ll be in touch with a more substantial ‘digital learning’ plan.
Meantime, we’re wishing you a safe and peaceful snow day!
All Students gain new skills and confidence through dance, music, art, and theater classes. Northwest Academy attracts both students with and without an existing interest in the arts.
We value creative, independent thought in both our academic and arts classes.
Our College Counselor works with students to find schools that will be a good match for them. Northwest Academy graduates attend a diverse selection of colleges and universities across the country including Duke University, Bard College, New York University, and Rhode Island School of Design.
Northwest Academy’s community includes students from throughout the Portland Metropolitan area, Lake Oswego, Beaverton, and Tigard as well as Vancouver Washington.
