The Taming of the Shrew – March 7 & 8 @ 7 pm

When Katherina, a righteously angry and independent young woman, meets Petruchio, a gold-hunting adventurer, mayhem ensues as the two engage in a battle of the sexes. But as Petruchio strives to get the upper hand, things take a dark turn as Kate and the audience are forced to make some tough choices about patriarchy, gender roles, and marriage. One of Shakespeare’s funniest and most controversial comedies, The Taming of the Shrew is performed by the eighth-grade Theatre Exploration class.
