Yumin Liu

YUMIN LIU teaches fluent Chinese 1 and 2 at Northwest Academy. She received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chinese Literature from National Central University in Taiwan. Yumin has spent eight great years living in Oregon, six of which have been teaching Chinese in the Portland area. She loves Chinese literature, painting, and opera. Her goal of being a teacher is to let more people enter the amazing world of Chinese culture. Yumin has been with Northwest Academy since 2018.

    Our College Counselor works with students to find schools that will be a good match for them. Northwest Academy graduates attend a diverse selection of colleges and universities across the country including Duke University, Bard College, New York University, and Rhode Island School of Design.
