Nia Johnson

NIA JOHNSON graduated with an honors B.F.A. in Photography from The Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago. She first explored teaching in Chicago’s Little Village, where she taught Middle School students Photoshop and Photography. At Northwest Academy, she works with middle school students as an Education Assistant and also teaches the Arts After Hours classes Yearbook & Digital Art. Other subjects she teaches are placed-based racial history in Middle School history classes and tri-fold design to 7th graders for the science fair. She works in the Admissions Department with pairing shadow students to their hosts. Nia has been with Northwest Academy since 2017.
