SHADOW DAYS
A shadow day is an opportunity for your child to visit Northwest Academy classes. Your child can attend academic and elective classes, meet teachers and students, interview with the Director of Admissions and schedule placement testing. To schedule a Shadow Day contact Jennifer Winchell, Director of Admissions at 503-223-3367, ext. 104. The Shadow Day Form can be downloaded from the Forms tab.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Enrollment requires a completed Application Form, including the Student and Parent Statements and three writing samples. A copy of the Teacher Evaluation Form should be given to at least two teachers and sent by them directly to the Northwest Academy. The Records Release Form should be given to the registrar of your child's current school and transcripts sent to The Northwest Academy Director of Admissions at 1130 SW Main, Portland, OR 97205. Be sure to include with your Application Form the $100 application fee made payable to The Northwest Academy, Director of Admissions. All forms can be downloaded from the Forms tab.

ACCEPTANCE
Following completion of the application process, shadow day and placement testing, an interview with the Admissions Committee will be scheduled. Following notification of acceptance a $1500 non-refundable tuition deposit is required to reserve your child's place in the next school year. This deposit is fully applied to your child's total tuition.

DEADLINES
December 7, 2007 - Early Action consideration
February 15, 2008 - Regular Decision Deadline for all Middle and High School students.
After February 15, 2008 - Applications will be accepted on space available basis only.

TUITION
Our tuition includes all after school classes, textbooks, and most fees.

High School - $17,500

Middle School - $15,000
